How Maven Edge Works Day to Day

Your Assessment & Onboarding

Every athlete begins with a full hitting and/or pitching assessment in Atlanta. After testing, your coach will walk you through your results, outline the biggest opportunities for improvement, build your initial plan, and onboard you into the Maven App and Dashboard.

Communication

You'll have unlimited text access through the Maven App, guaranteed response times (24 hours weekdays, 36 hours weekends), regular 1:1 coaching calls, and support for video uploads anytime you need clarification on drills or execution.

Training Consistency

Training works when you complete your sessions on time, follow your prescribed workload, communicate openly with your coach, and provide accurate feedback on soreness, velocity, performance, and struggle points. We'll do our part—but your consistency is what unlocks real improvement.

Both programs include: The Maven Assessment (hitting and/or pitching) conducted at the Maven Lab in Atlanta, a comprehensive onboarding call to debrief your schedule, personalized programming inside the Maven App, unlimited text access to your coach, regular 1:1 video/voice coaching calls, continuous drill refinement based on your progress, and a structured plan for in-gym sessions when applicable. The difference between Sharpen and Optimize comes down to frequency of calls, number of reassessments, access to in-gym time, and level of coach involvement.

Maven Edge is a 12-month development program. Long-term improvement doesn't happen in spurts—it comes from consistent training cycles, coaching, and feedback over time. Committing to the full year provides the runway needed to help you make meaningful and measurable gains. If injury occurs, we will pause your membership until you're ready to resume. Early cancellations are not permitted.

General day-to-day communication happens through the Maven App. You'll use it to message your coach, upload video, review your program, access your assessment report, and receive drill edits and feedback. Response time is within 24 hours on weekdays and 36 hours on weekends. You also receive regular scheduled 1:1 voice/video calls with your coach via FaceTime or Teams.

To support healthy training habits, we do not roll sessions into future months. Cramming missed work often leads to poor results and higher injury risk. Your coach will set an appropriate workload and adapt as needed.

We pause memberships only for injury. When you're healthy again, you'll pick back up with updated programming.

Responsibilities: Athlete & Coach

Your Coach Will:

  • Design a training blueprint specific to your goals and movement profile
  • Adjust your program based on progress, feedback, and season
  • Provide timely communication and feedback
  • Monitor workload and development pace
  • Keep you accountable and on track for your goals
  • Help prevent overtraining or mechanical regression

You (the Athlete) Will:

  • Complete your training consistently and as prescribed
  • Upload video to track progress
  • Communicate clearly about health, soreness, injuries, and schedule changes
  • Attend your scheduled calls
  • Engage with your coach through the Maven App
  • Take ownership of your development

We always welcome your parents' support and presence on video calls — but communication with your coach should come from you, not your parents. A Maven owns their process.

Injuries & Adjustments

If anything hurts — even slightly — let your coach know immediately. We'll adjust training quickly and safely so you can stay on track.
